So, on the way back from Laughlin, I was telling the Finn about how there was lava laying around from a long since blown volcano, when I started to wonder if I was telling the truth. Were those rocks really black lava? I mean, my dad used to tell me this when I was little and we would be driving back home from the High Sierras or Utah or somewhere. Luckily, when we finally were able to pull off the highway, the rest stop had a sign which did indeed explain about nearby volcanic activity and we got to stand on the lava rocks.
