There is a law that one has to pick up their dog's poo. However, when the snow melts it can be seen all over the pathways and sidewalks, disgusting smears of excrement. This is the area behind our apartment building. Also, visible when we go back to the building is my truck parked in the covered parking. This film, Tessa Koira follows Tessa on her walk.

In the store Antilla, we see a cd on sale. This is Tanja's brother's band, Hateframe on sale in this major store. It was very cool to see it. They just had a gig last night in Helsinki. It is the one above the letter H.
This is Martti in one of his most recent roles in the movie Sibelius. He is the lead in this film about Finland's greatest composer, Jean Sibelius. It turns out that my teacher had sold him the land he built his house on.
The other day, I was waiting for the train to go into the center when I saw this major Finnish actor Martti Suosalo sitting on the bench.
This is a project I did for my class. It is called a seinä lehti. It contains many of the major works of a few of my favourite Finnish artists. It concentrates on the Period of Realism & National Romanticism. Many of these paintings are housed in the national collection in the Ateneum.

Russian song. These two women from the other immigrant class sing. As they sing, I pan the camera around so you can see the whole room. That is our head teacher in the yellow dress. Also, note that she has a black witches cap. This is because it is in spring that the witches come out in Finland, not Halloween.
Kenyan dance. That is my Kenyan friend in the flannel shirt. He and I speak English all the time. He didn't want to dance, but the teacher was very insistant.
Kurdi dance. This was very interesting and mesmerizing. It was very simple but one can get drawn into a trance. I had more footage of this but I deleted it, regretfully, because I was running out of room on my memory card.

Greek dance. This woman was previously singing the russian song then changed and did this dance. After a painful start (she slipped because she was wearing no shoes), she proceeded to,er, finish.
